RETURNS POLICY
We are delighted that you have chosen to browse our shop and hopefully you enjoy your visit enough to make a purchase whilst you are here!
We want you to have a 100% positive buying experience with Goldkote UK & we therefore do our utmost to comply with the Distance Selling Regulations.
We never expect our customers to pay for returns, even if you simply decide you don't want an item after we've sent it. Of course this only applies within the first 14 days (the 'cooling off' period)...we would be unlikely to refund you if you decided you didn't want an item after you'd had it for a couple of months!
We are happy to offer an exchange or refund for any goods you buy from Goldkote should your item arrive damaged, faulty or not as described in the listing, and that it is returned with the original packaging within 14 working days from date of receipt.

We also require you to return an item with its original packaging, so we can restock it  - we cannot accept back goods without the packaging.
Please contact us before returning an item so that we can instuct you on our returns procedure. If you just send it back we will not be able to refund any postage costs incurred over and above those we have arranged with our couriers.

If you want to know more about our obligations to you under Distance Selling Laws, the following link will take you to a summary of the criteria we have to meet under current legislation: http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/general/oft913.pdf

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please remember that the copyright for images depicting gold-plated items & their descriptions belongs to Goldkote Decorative Metal Plating. For that reason, our ecommerce shop – or any portion of it – may not be downloaded, reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, or otherwise exploited commercially without our express written consent.
Many of our products are gold-plated to order and we utilise professional plating chemists to do this. The plating process is time-consuming, which means that gold and silver items may take up to 7 working days to arrive, so please do not order unless you are happy with this! Please also be aware that gold-plating is not permanent and may eventually fade off - the rate at which this fading occurs depends on the amount of contact the item has with its surroundings (mechanical wear) as well as the thickness of the plating layer and the nature of the underlying metal. The plating on a statuette stored in a display case, for example, would therefore last much longer than the plating layer on a watch, a bath tap or a wedding ring, as these are constantly in contact with your hands. This is why we cannot offer a fixed guarantee for the permanency of the plating layer.
With this in mind, if you wish to send in your own items to have them gold or silver-plated, please note that some items, e.g. mobile phones, will need to be dismantled to protect electrical components from the plating chemicals – please note that any iPhone must be sim free or already locked to a network before sending in to us. We always advise you to contact us with details of your item so we can tell you what your options are.
Goldkote Decorative Metal Plating is not connected with any supplier of smart phones or their contracts: smart phones are either sent to us by you or purchased independently and embellished in 24ct Gold.
Pricing Errors:  We regularly adjust our prices to reflect a changing market for goods, together with the fluctuating costs of precious metals but, as we're all human, occasionally mistakes may occur in our listed prices. Goldkote reserve the right to refuse to honour a sale if the pricing error is clearly "too good to be true" e.g. if a 24ct gold-plated golf club is listed as costing £2.00 when it clearly should say £200.00 the price is very obviously a mistake. This caveat is included in order to prevent buyers trying to take advantage of obvious listing errors, and prevents us from having to disappoint buyers into leaving negative reviews.
We think that’s fair. If you disagree, or if you want to ask a specific question about the terms under which we make our images and descriptions available, please send an email to the address listed in the contacts page.
